Lee Kinyanjui, born Lee Maiyani Kinyanjui is an industrious Kenyan politician serving as Nakuru’s governor since 2017. Lee took the helm in 2017 from Kinuthia Mbugua and he has only served for one term. Lee is looking forward to retaining the seat in the upcoming 2022 election.
Lee is not a new face in Kenyan politics since he has served as a Member of Parliament representing the People of Nakuru Town Constituency from 2007 to 2013.
Lee is among the few governors who have maintained strong stands on who to support as the presidential candidate. Being a Jubilee member he has entrusted his vote to Raila Amolo Odinga as the Presidential candidate. He will be vying for a Jubilee ticket.

Career
The hard-working governor was born and raised in Nakuru County and he knows ins and outs of the county. Knowing the region very well he shot his first shot in 2007 on a PNU ticket.
Lee vied for Nakuru Town Constituency parliamentary seat and he was lucky to be elected with his first trial. Kinyunjui served in that capacity for 5 good years and managed to transform his constituency to imaginable heights. During his stint as a member of the Parliament, he served as an assistant minister for roads, a position he took control of from 2008 until 2013.
