Sofapaka FC formally known as Batoto ba Mungu is a football club based in the Coastal part of Kenya in Taita Taveta county, Wudanyi. The club was founded in 2002 as a church-based team called MAOS Ministries football team, participating in inter-church competitions.
In 2004 the team was handed over to a private investor who rebranded the team from MAOS Ministries football team to Sofapaka. The name Sofapaka was derived from a Swahili sentence, “Sote kama Familia Kwa Pamoja Kuafikia Azimio” which simply means We as Family together to achieve a goal
After the change of management, the team shifted from playing inter-church competitions and found its way to the National League, FKF Premier League.

Sofapaka FC Home Ground and Uniform
The Batoto ba Mungu as they are commonly known is privileged to have a home ground in their home state. They play their home games at Wanduyi Stadium alias Dawson Mwanyumba Stadium. However, the size of the Stadium isn’t that big as it can only hold a capacity of one thousand people.
When it comes to their work attires the Batoto ba Mungu stars are well known for rocking a white jersey and matching-blue shorts and socks for their home games. For away games, the club is known for wearing a blue jersey, white shorts, and white socks

The club is owned by a Congolese tycoon by the name of Elly Kalekwa alias Prezda. Elly was the one who took the club in 2004 and registered it in the national league.
The Congolese man is a heavily loaded guy when it comes to matters concerning finances. Apart from being the wealthiest football owner, the Prezda as he is well known is applauded for bringing international standards to Kenya’s football. Prezda came up with a well-structured contract for buying and selling players.
Currently, the club is being headed by David Ouma as the head coach. Ouma took the hem from Ken Odhiambo who has been running the club for quite some time.
In terms of player leaders, Elli Asieche is the captain of the club following his recent appointments. In addition, the captain is assisted by two other players, Willis Obayi and Michael Kibwage.
