Mwanahamisi has a wide experience exceeding one decade in the media industry. She joined Royal Media Services in 2010, a place she has called home in her entire career.

At Citizen, she broadcasts the 7 pm news and she is also part of Sema na Citizen, a three-hour mid-morning show from 11 am to 2 pm. The show also features other prominent Swahili newscasters such as Nimroad Taabu, Rashid Abdalla, Mashirima, and others.

In addition, she also hosts a popular segment, Mwanamke Bomba. Apart from hosting the segment, she is also the primary producer of the same show.

The segment airs every Tuesday after the 7 pm news and mostly targets hardworking women and those with unique jobs. Previously, she hosted and produced a health-related show, Siha na Maumbile. The show was telling stories of people who were suffering from different diseases and through her show, many of them got the solution they were looking for.

In 2015, she found herself in trouble after she was suspended alongside Swaleh Mdoe and others due to bribery allegations. According to reports Hamadi and her colleagues took a bride from a popular politician.

The alleged politician had bribed the anchors to kill a story that involved him assaulting a journalist. The crew was suspended for ten days to pave way for investigation, however, they were later reinstated.

In 2019, Mwanahamisi was involved in a heated argument that led to a fight with an unknown woman. According to reports, the lady was alleged to be her husband’s lover and Mwahamisi had gone to confront her. Things didn’t go as she expected as the woman attacked her and she injured her ears and she had to visit a hospital for treatment.
