She was born on 1st, May 1989, she will be turning 33 in May 2022. Kapombe was born in Voi town, Taita Taveta County, however, her family later moved to Nyeri where she grew up.

Her journey started nine years ago while she was still in the University where she served as the presenter for the school radio which was known as Shine Fm. After that, she landed an internship at KBC, a state-owned radio station.

Her doors opened when she was offered a six-year contract by Nation Media Group. At Nation Media Group she first worked with QFM.

She was then hired to work as a newscaster at NTV, the main network owned by NMG. She worked with the network for almost two years until 2013 before moving to Standard media group station, KTN.

On 4th February 2013, she joined KTN as a news anchor, despite gaining her first-hand experience at NTV.  Kapombe established her name as the best news anchor while working with KTN TV where she enjoyed enough air time.

She worked with KTN for almost half a decade before joining Royal media in 2018. Since she joined Citizen tv in 2018, she has managed to create a good audience for herself both on-screen and social media.

She is described as one of the hottest and appealing Swahili news anchors. She also leaves her fan excited every time she shares her behind the scene clips.
