A lot of Kenyan political figures enjoy unique relationships and have spouses from other nationalities. Jomo first met teacher Edna Clarke while he was on business in London. When tragedy struck in 1942 and an air strike murdered her parents, Jomo gave her a shoulder to grieve on.

The Kisii new governor frequently travels to political rallies with his Chinese wife. She goes by the name Kwamboka Simba, has lived in Kisii for a long time, and has a remarkable command of the language.

To the admiration of many, Kwamboka once led a throng in a Gusii SDA church hymnal during a rally.

3. Joyce Lay

In 2015, difficulties arose in the marriage of the former Taita Taveta woman representative and her mzungu husband, William Lay. Joyce requested that the relationship be dissolved, claiming irreconcilable differences.

They reconciled, though, and she revealed that she was assisting him in running DNA testing on a number of children from other women to discover whether he was their father.

The former Uasin Gishu women’s rep and current national assembly deputy speaker was notably wed to Sam Shollei, a former CEO of the Standard Group. He filed for divorce in 2020 as they argued about alleged adultery in their marriage.

When Gladys introduced her mzungu lover days after their breakup, she made people’s tongues wag.

5. Millie Odhiambo

Magugu Mabona, a Zimbabwean citizen, is the wife of the outspoken Mbita lawmaker. After seeing him holding a Bible, Millie said that she was taken aback. “Sometimes the smallest things can win over the hearts of strong people.

He was carrying a Bible when I first saw him. I value that more than anything else, she declared.

6. Ken Okoth

Ken Okoth, the former Kibra MP passed away in 2019 as a result of colorectal cancer complications. Okoth, who was praised for his work ethic, left Monica as his widow.

The Aussie claimed to have known Okoth for 21 years; they had originally connected while he was the only African student at their Australian university. Some six years after they initially met, she made her first trip to Kenya, which she now calls home.

His brother Imran Okoth took over his parliamentary seat after winning a by-election that was held in November 2019 in Kibra Constituency.

7. George Wajackoya

The 2022 presidential hopeful who became well-known for his push to legalize marijuana has an American wife and three children. Before officially getting married in 2020, Wajackoyah and Lee were married for many years and had children.

The leader of the Roots Party stated that he is attempting to obtain Kenyan citizenship for his family.
