Imelda Bore is a Kenyan attorney serving as an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, her experience in this field extends to 15 active years. Additionally, she is currently, serving as the Secretary to the Board of Directors of Kenya Power and Lighting Company, a Kenyan parastatal mandated with the purchase and distribution of energy countrywide.

Having acquired a Master of Law degree, Imelda Bore can be described as an expert in matters concerning law. On top of that, she is also an expert in matters concerning governance and risk management.

Imelda has a vast experience in legal matters, her experience extends to different sectors including post-admission experience, a commissioner for oaths, and Notary Public. On top of that, she has also served as the State Law Office as Litigation Counsel.

Having served in the legal field for over a decade, Imelda joined Kenya Power and Lighting Company in 2008. Due to her outstanding performance at the company, she was appointed as an Acting Company Secretary in July 2018.

She served in this capacity for over one year and proved she was worth maintaining the seat. In December 2019 she was confirmed as the newly appointed Kenya Power and Lighting Company Secretary.

Apart from sitting on the board of directors as a secretary, Imelda is also a trustee of the Kenya Power Pension Fund (Defined Benefits well known as a DB, and Defined Contribution well known as DC). Furthermore, she was also elected to serve as the Director of the Stima Deposit Taking (DT) Sacco.

Imelda can be described as a diverse career woman since she is well versed in a wide variety of sectors where she has seat. These sectors include Corporate Governance, Risk and Audit, Strategy and Investment, Business Strategy, Human Resources,s and Technical Committee of the Fund and Sacco.

Bore is currently an active member of the Law Society of Kenya, a Certified Secretary of CPS, and also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
