The celebrated journalist began his career at the Nation Media group as a host of a popular show, AM Live. Am Live was the kind of show that covered several trending topics but it was notable for its hot political debates.

Most of the guests were prominent politicians from members of parliament to governors. He worked for the media house for a couple of years. In 2020, the Covid-19 struck the country heavily and most media houses went for salary cuts on employees while others decided to reduce the number of workers.

Nation Media was among the media houses that decided to axe some of their employees. Unfortunately, the axe fell on him alongside other journalists including Ken Mijungu.

Despite being fired he took to his Twitter account to thank the station. His sucking came as a shock to many since it was not expected and after his Twitter post, Kipchumba Murkomen and Kimani Wamatangi who were his regular guests were among the people who encouraged him.

Nine months down the line KTN was still thirsting for his services. Before joining K24, the station confirmed they had approached him to serve as an editor but declined the offer since he wanted to be on air.

As the country approached the 2022 election, KTN needed a person with a capability to cover the political happenings since at the moment they are on rising. Following his expertise in that field, they hunted him and finally managed to bring him on board.
