Jovial is a Kenyan vocalist, performer, recorder, and entertainer who rose to fame after working with Otile Brown. Her real name is Juliet Miriam Ayub and she was reared by a single parent who continues to be her major influence. She was born in the coastal town of Mombasa.

Jovial Music Career
Her earliest musical influence was her mother. She used to admire her when she was singing in the church choir and this is how she inspired Jovial to start singing. As a single mother, she used to sing whether in high or low spirits and it consoled her. As they say, music soothes the soul. It still comforts her even as she mourn her loss. “Music gives me the strength to face another day” she says.
Jovial continued singing in school from home, and her skill was evident. “I began singing at my local church and in the school choir while I was in class six during my elementary school years. Our school competed in music festival events all around Mombasa town, and I was the lead singer.”
“My goal is to fully pursue my music profession. I am grateful to have such a fantastic team behind me. In the future, we intend to release more hits and work with more artists. I have to agree, though, that breaking into the music business is difficult since good music isn’t easy to record and make.
When asked, Jovial has this top say about her style of music, “I play Afro-fusion music with a touch of zouk and R&B. According to Jovial, whose name is nearly as old as she is, “I love singing in the Swahili language because I feel comfortable and this way I can express myself well to and I also believe it defines my true identity as a Kenyan.”
Working with Otile Brown
Jovial was signed to Otile Brown’s record label, and he even went so far as to get her a brand-new automobile. He wrote in the description of a video and images posted by Otile that he had blessed her with the small car to aid her in getting around the city.
During her stint at the label, the two collaborated on the hit song Jeraha which has garnered 20 million YouTube views.
Jovial departed Otile Brown’s record label and is currently under new management after only two months of working with him.
Reason for Jovial’s fallout with Otile Brown
Jovial left the record company, although she hasn’t commented on it. However, according to her manager David Guoro, the singer left because of a misunderstanding with her management.
David continued by saying Jovial was now run by new management and will be releasing new projects. According to YouTube views, the two songs they released together, Zichune and Amor, were favorably appreciated by listeners.
