Bandari F.C is one of the oldest football teams in the coastal region of Mombasa county. The county is commonly known as a tourist attraction site. Away from the tall palm trees and the ocean breeze, Mombasa is also home to many talented footballers.

Bandari FC History
Bandari FC alias Dockers is a professional football team based in Mombasa county participating in Kenya Premier. The team was promoted to Kenya’s top league after leading the 2012 FKF Division One season.
The club was first founded in 1960 playing under the name of LASCO F.C. The name run until 1978 before rebranding to Cargo F.C in 1978.
In 1985, the club came merged with Kenya Ports Authority teams, and Bandari FC was born. At the time the club was playing in Kenya’s top league before they were relegated after the 1997 season. The club later received its call to the higher league in 2012 after a long time in the FKF league.
Bandari F.C Owner and Management
Following the merger in 1985 Kenya Ports Authority became the official club owner. Cargo F.C was like a street club and didn’t have an actual owner or sponsor.
Currently, all club’s business is carried out by Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) from sponsorship to management.

Bandari F.C Coach
Currently, the team is being headed by a Rwandanese coach by the name of Andre Casa Mbugo. The head coach’s performance since his arrival has been highly applauded as he has managed to keep the team in the top league and stick to the top ten.
Bandari F.C Achievements and Trophies.
Bandari bagged their first trophy in 2015 after they won the 2015 FKF President’s Cup. The following year they carried the Kenya Super Cup in 2016.
The team has not yet received any League title, however, they have finished as first runners up three consecutive times from 2017 to 2019, and in 2020 finished as 2nd runners up.
In 2018, they went on to win KPL SportPesa Supercup and earned a position at CAF CONFEDERATION CUP.
