Upon leaving college, he joined Pamoja FM, a local  radio station in Kibra. When CGTN, an international media organization started poaching journalists from major media houses in the country, he learnt of the vacancies and decided to try his luck. He submitted an application at K24 TV and was among those lucky to be shortlisted.

At the time of the interview, he was too broke that he had to borrow a suit from a friend to attend the interview. After staying on probation for three months, he was finally hired as a news reporter, producer and anchor at K24 TV.

He used the opportunity to sharpen his skills in swahili reporting and anchoring, which raised his status to a top journalist in the country.

In 2017, he called it quits at K24 and joined Citizen TV where he still works to date. At Citizen, he works as a crime reporter and swahili news anchor. He has claimed his position among the best reporters of crime in the country.
