He is an alleged IT guru who is credited with helping the Jubilee party win the 2013 and 2017 general elections. He is a Kenyan politician who was appointed Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum by President Uhuru Kenyatta on April 25, 2013.

Davis Chirchir served as the United Democratic Party’s secretary general between 2011 and 2013. (URP). He was appointed to the cabinet in 2013 and served until 2015 when he was caught up in corrupt dealings.
The politician also served as the Interim Independent Electoral Commission’s Information Technology Director (IIEC).
Davis Chirchir made headlines in 2017 after former Prime Minister Raila Odinga accused him of tampering with servers to ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta’s victory. He was the president’s appointed chief presidential agent at the time.
In 2022, he was appointed Chief of Staff to the Deputy President’s office. He took over for Ken Osinde, who died in a Nairobi hospital while receiving treatment, leaving the position vacant.
